Why do you give 10% of your orders to charity?

Even though we are both staunch capitalists, we believe that there is not only room for philanthropy, but a requirement for it. We feel that when you give, it comes back to you many times over, in ways that have nothing to do with money.

We also feel, given that much money is lost to bureaucratic waste when governments are left in charge, that businesses are in a much better position to help.

We decided very early on that we wanted our company to have a focus that was centered around something other than a pure profit motive.

While our goal IS to turn a profit, we believe that when we put people first, when we look to deliver the best product we can, treat our customers with the highest level of respect, and look to do as much good in the world that we can, then profit is inevitable.

Google’s motto of "Do no evil" isn’t good enough for us. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a much better one, in our opinion.
